Hi,
I have a requirement to take increamental imagecopy for the tablespaces. However I have just confused over the recovery process.
I have seen in recovery process if we use TOLASTCOPY it will take the last full copy and all the incremental copy for the tablespace for the recovery.
However I just confused when we need to use MERGECOPY?. How this increase the performance of recovery?. For the tablespace which I had seen its taking almost same time in both process.?(I had tried MERGECOPY before doing RECOVER)
Please advice.

| the idea is to do mergecopy every x days "during a slow period" so you don't need to do it anymore when you do a recover. |
