Hi All,
My file contains TAB (X'05') at a random position in a record. I want to replace it by ";" wherever TAB is present in record.
Can this be done using Sync Sort ? My mainframe environment does not have DFSORT utilities.
Regards
Manoj |

Well, if your site does not have DFSORT and instead has SYNCSORT, at least post your problem in the correct forum |

Hello Manoj.
If you have access to SyncSort for z/OS 1.3.2, then I would agree with Anuj. Here are sample control statements:
Code: |
//SYSIN DD *
SORT FIELDS=COPY
OUTREC FINDREP=(INOUT=(X'05',C';'))
/* |
Please let us know if you require any further assistance.
