Hi,
S878 ABEND
My program is abending while trying to write to flat file with S878 abend.
This is normal PS flat file with following attributes
Record length . . . : 62
Block size . . . . : 18414
1st extent tracks . : 1
Secondary tracks . : 50
Can any one let me know if the large blocksize causing the storage abend?

Hello,
How much processing has been done before the attempt to open the file is made?
Suggest you run a test that opens the file at the start of execution instead of some time later. |

| What is the region parameter set to? How many buffers are you giving the file? You may need to talk to your site support group since your job class could be limited to a certain amount of memory. |

Better would be to see the entire output of the job.
However my hot tip is to add at least the parameter REGION=0M at the step execution. Had the same abend few weeks ago. |
