Hi ! I'm getting zipped by pkzip files into mainframe. Need to use pkunzip to unzip them. Does anybody know how to find location of pkunzip on mainframe , because I need to indicate it in the STEPLIB statement in the pkunzip jcl. |

If the "pkunzip" is a licensed product on you system, your system support people will know (and share) its location.
And trust in this, sometimes it is 'hard' to go 'begging' to those 'a**h***s' for information....grin.... But sometimes it is needed, buck up and approach the lions (a**h***s).... |

Zip products are sold by independent vendors such as PKWARE and DATA-21 and are not part of the typical mainframe installation. Since they cost many thousands of dollars, not all mainframes install zip packages. Only your site support group can tell you whether or not your site has one installed, and how to use it, as CICS guy said. |
