Sending ZIP files trough JCL

Hi,

When I am trying to send the zip file using IKJEFT01, I am getting the error that it can not process RECFM=U datasets.

Can anyone plz help

the message is self explanatory, and nothing can be done about it...
avoid processing recfm U dataset.
anyway the info You provided tells almost nothing,
IKJEFT01 is the terminal monitor program, and per se does nothing...
sits there reading/writing from/to the terminal and all the work is done by the commands You issue!

The record format of the zip file is 'U'. I am creating the zip file using PKZIP. Can I change the file format.

zip/unzip is not very common,
the best source of help is certainly the ZIP manual

After zipping it, you could convert it to an XMIT file, or AMATERSE it. Both produce FB datasets, LRECL=80 for XMIT, LRECL=1024 for AMATERSE.
