Hi,
When I am trying to send the zip file using IKJEFT01, I am getting the error that it can not process RECFM=U datasets.
Can anyone plz help

the message is self explanatory, and nothing can be done about it...
avoid processing recfm U dataset.
anyway the info You provided tells almost nothing,
IKJEFT01 is the terminal monitor program, and per se does nothing...
sits there reading/writing from/to the terminal and all the work is done by the commands You issue! |

The record format of the zip file is 'U'. I am creating the zip file using PKZIP. Can I change the file format.

zip/unzip is not very common,
the best source of help is certainly the ZIP manual |

After zipping it, you could convert it to an XMIT file, or AMATERSE it. Both produce FB datasets, LRECL=80 for XMIT, LRECL=1024 for AMATERSE. |
