Hi
I need to increase the size of array declared as below
dcl address(2000) char(15);
I need to increase the limit from 2000 to some maximum available limit.
Please let me know what is the maxium limit suppoted by EPLI
This is IMS PLI programm.

Not likely a need. . . Is this just being lazy?
What business requirements dictates "a need for the maximum memory resource i can waste"? |

And anyhow, not withstanding the previous replies - why not just try some values.
A binary search should be efficient. |

Or one might look in the "limits" for the pl/i compiler (available via the "IBM Manuals" link at the top of the page). . .
I always cringe when someone believes it is proper to write code depending on maximums. . . It is often (usually) the worst possible implementation alternative. . .
