Cell Phones with Really Annoying Ring Tones

Does anyone else get this at work? You're sitting at your desk doing whatever (like moderating ibmmainframes?) and you hear, coming from somewhere near you, this really annoying ring tone. Over and over and over. Then it stops, only to start over again a minute later. Over and over.

Yep. Quite a lot of the time. Hard to imagine why they're called mobiles when the owners leave them on the desk

Had one last week where the manager had to take a terminated employee's company-issued Blackberry back, and he stuck it in his desk drawer and locked it. Then was out for a couple of days. The employee had apparently setup some sort of daily alarm, so every morning at 8:00 sharp it would go off and not stop.

And I was thinking this happens in my office only. Some time back we all were going through IPL fever (a cricket league in India) season and there was this "horn tone" of them - and people had set-up these tones for their SMSes even - you’re in Severity 1 Ticket call and there this horn will pop-up from all the corners all of sudden - po..po...p..po..! From other end, manger yells out - with a voice freezing your blood, to keep the vloumes low!

There had been an announcement from office admin, lately, to keep the phone/cells on silence in official premises now.
