1) When exactly are these 2 used?
2) If there is no sorting in the program, is SORTWK* still useful then? |

Hello,
Many places have a "standard" Easytrieve PROCedure that is used with overrides for process specific datasets. The VFM and SORTWK* datasets are sized with symbolic parameters so they can be increased for a particular run by changing the default values of the symbolic parameters.
The answer to your question 1 is that they are used when Easytrieve determines the are needed - which is run/site specific. |
