| All the cics applications used to run in a single CICS Address space.Which will lead to bottle necks when huge number of cics applications are invoked at a same time.Occurance of this scenario is rare |

.dynamically allocate and browse tapes is not possible.
.There is a more serious drawback in using XCTL: since external security is done by transaction ID, performing all work under the menu?s authorized transaction ID invalidates external security for any transactions executed through the menu. |
