Hi,

Could any body please provide me the link for DB2 architecture diagram comprising of instance ,log files ,buffer pools and back ground process and how it is linked.

In oracle we have a default oracle architecture diagram ( instance ,db2 and background process).

Do we any similar kind of diagram in DB2..

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

I am expecting some diagram which give me the overall process on the z/os.

How each process is linked ,( The tablespace ,instance ,buffer pool,shared pool, log buffer)

In the above i can see any things whioch say above buffer pool,instance,and back ground process.

Simply to saY IF I run a DB2 query whaat happens behind and how the data is retireved from the databse and if incase of instance what happens behind and how the data is logged.

Please let me know if u have any.

Hi,

i just browsed the ibm sites and i found it complex .

Th oracle architecture diagram is found to be simple ad more explantory .

So thought lke u people would help me out in this ..

anyway, the links are very helpful for me . i wil go ahead reading that .

Thanks a lot for the videos .

The video gave a me clear understanding on the difference processes and objects.

Although its for LUW . I gained a lot in that

I am looking for a material like this for z/os on the explaination of subsystem and the processes inside that .

Please let me know if u have any .
