Here is a link for all the COBOL II docs

you can start with the Book VS COBOL II: Application Programming Language Reference and peruse the compiler limits discussion.

Thank you friend. I referred the link you suggested but could not find the drawbacks of VS/OS COBOL when compared to Enterprise COBOL in terms of storage management.

Do you mean VS COBOL II or are you referring to OS/VS COBOL which is the earlier version of COBOL on the mainframe?

Actually, neither of them has been available from IBM for many years so your question is pretty much a moot point.

It is most unlikely you will find information about Enterprise cobol in the older product documentation. . .

Why do you believe there are any "drawbacks of VS/OS COBOL in terms of storage issues"? How do you define these "drawback"?

What has caused the question to be asked?

Keep in mind that you understand what you are looking for while we are only guessing. . .
