I want to direct the SYUDUMP to be written to a file in my JCL in case of an abend. Is this possible?

Hello,

You replied to a 3 year old topic. You should have started a new topic.

Is this an interview question or is this something you actually want to do?

SYSUDUMP (like other sysout datasets) can be written to dasd by changing the JCL to use an output file rather than sysout.
