Hi,

From long I was living with a notion that JES2 system allocate resources/DSN's pre step. However, I have encountered a situation where in GDG's are tried to be checked in begining of job.

Any inputs are highly appreciated.

Thank you !!!

In order to ensure the integrity of relative generations, the GDG base is enqueued as the job is scanned by the internal reader and placed into the JES queue for execution. I believe that it stays enqueued until the job reaches EOJ.

Thank you

And the reference to a new GDG instance should be +1 throughout the job. Use with precaution if you have to rerun the job, or part of it.
