Is there a way to ftp multiple files to an AIX environment using wildcards. I have the JCL written but it doesn't know what to name the file in the directory on the AIX box. I am using the mput command below:
MPUT 'PFISISC.PROD20.SOURCLIB(SADCG*)' /home/narrighi
When this is ran in my jcl, it is ftping the following in my directory:
'PFISISC.PROD20.SOURCLIB(SADCGPA)'
'PFISISC.PROD20.SOURCLIB(SADCGPB)'
'PFISISC.PROD20.SOURCLIB(SADCGPT)'
However, when I try to look at them on the AIX box, they are empty. Also, it will not let me remove them from my directory.
Thanks,

First of all, let me just mention that the MPUT command is working as it is supposed to.
To solve your problem, your PDS should be known to the FTP client as the local directory:
- open the connection and log in.
- change to non-interactive:
>prompt interactive
- change the target working directory with a CD command:
>cd /home/narrighi
<< or >>
>cd /home, then >cd narrighi
- change the host working directory with a LCD command:
>lcd 'PFISISC.PROD20.SOURCLIB'
- MPUT the PDS members, which will become the target filenames:
>mput SADCG*
- quit and end. |
