Hi,
I have a Application which Runs in Region A but the same CICS screen abends in Region B ,due to SYSIDERR.
How can this be handled in the program ? Is it Mainframe Admin task that he needs to Mirror the region correctly?
Please advise
Thanks,

Review the applicable CICS Application Programming Reference for your version/release and search for SYSIDERR.
As far as how you would rectify this, contact your Tech Support and/or CICS Sysprog for assistance because (for the most part), this is outside of the scope of an Application Programmer issue.
But, an Application Program issue should not be ruled out entirely.

First off, what command caused the abend?
Was that command specifying a sysid that was valid, defined and open in that region?
If not, was the command expecting to default to the correct sysid in the PPT/PCT/TSQ/FCT/ect entry that was valid, defined and open in that region?
CEDF of the abending transaction might provide you enough information to solve this yourself. |
