Hi,
I have a step which overrides the parameter in proc1, but in proc1 it calls another proc proc2. If both proc's have same ddname i.e dd1. my question is which ddname was overriden. |

Hi,
test it out, just run the job with a TYPRUN=SCAN and look at the output and see which step and ddname is overridden.

Your question is too vauge to get a specific answer (vauge questions get vague answers).
Is this 'parameter' you are refering to a symbolic parameter?
Is this symbolic used in the second proc?
If you are referring to a keyword parameter used in a DD statement, and there are no symbolic parameters in use, then your answer is PROC1.
It is not possible to override a DD statement in the second level nested proc with out the use of a symbolic parameter.
If you want a specific answer, show some real JCL. |
