Hi
I am trying to remove the first 10 chars alone from each line of a dataset and out it into other. I know I can use JCL or REXX but just wanted to know if there are any ISPF EDIT commands available to just copy first 10 chars of each line in a flat dataset ?

Thanks

why not
  1. allocate a new 10 char ps - 3.2
  2. copy the old to the new 3.3
or
  1. VIEW the old
  2. chg all P'=' ' ' 11 <record length>
  3. COPY .zf .zl
