Hi,

I am issuing a DFHXCIS command froma batch program.
The response from the message is zero but the return code of the program is being set to non zero.

Have checked various links but could not undersatnd the reson for this.

I am aware of the solution that zero should be explicitly moved to return code after checking for various codes, but wanted to undesrtand the
reason for this behaviour.

Could anyone please explain

Why did you post this in the DFSORT Forum? What does this have to do with DFSORT?

the topic has been moved to other ... topics because the environment has no relevance to the issue

the reason for this behavior is within the program , since we know exactly nothing ...
we cannot give any suggestion

ask Yourself... we hope that the answer You will give be the right one! icon_cool.gif

Hello,

Time to look at the code. . .

What links? The answer/reason is in the code that issues the non-zero return code.

The code does not ensure a zero return-code. . .

Unless there is info that has not been posted, the explanation/reason is in the code. Suggest the simple experiment of specifically moving zero . . .
