According to my experience we can't perform concurrent update on single partitions.if it is updating on different partition then it can access..
Its again depends on the SHARELEVEL defined during registering HALDB in RECON dataset.
1.DATABASE LEVEL SHARE
2.BLOCK LEVEL SHARE |

Thanks Manoj...
For Eg:
If I have a DB with 6 partitions
JCL 1 - Updates partition 1 only
JCL 2 - Updates Partition 3 only
..
JCL n - Updates partition n only...
So if I access different partitions at the same time and update only that partition in 1 JCL and the other partition un the other JCL, will it work ? |
