Hi,
I have a doubt in Telon online. I didn't find a suitable heading to post this, so posting in the IMS DB/DC link.
In our project, we are using Telon online screens with IMS DB. Our clients have found out an issue and they have asked us to fix that. The issue is:
If some user has logged in to the production online screens and did not logoff properly and if some other user uses the same PC and logged to the online screens using his mainframe ID, then he was surprised to see the previous user's mainframe ID on the left hand corner. We are thinking that if a user has not logged off cleanly then the LTERM is not refreshed and is still holding the previous user's ID. Is it possible to refresh the mainframe ID in the LTERM?
Can some one help me out? Please let me know if you need more information. I am happy to provide if i can.
Cheers

Do you have a security administrator? Do you have an automatic logoff after a certain amount of inactivity? |

Hi,
1) I need to check regd the security Adminstrator
2) A daily night job runs in the system to terminate all inactive sessions.
We have now determined that the issue is due to the residual data(mainframe id) that is present in the SPA that is causing this issue. To provide an application fix we would have to ensure that this residual data is checked for and deleted in all conversational screens as this has not been done in the system. But this approach involves changing a lot of programs as the Application size is huge.
Is there a way to avoid this by providing a system level solution? In other words the CONV-ACT transaction of the static LTERM needs to be terminated when the second user signs in.
Can IMS exit routines be used in this case?
Thanks, |
