Hi,
I sometimes meet an allocation failure of a pds on the share volume from prod system while I am transfering a member of pds in the Test system to Prod system. When I check allocation of pds logining the Test system using a mvs command (d grs,res=(*,test.batch.load) ) but I did not see any allocation on it.
All I can do is after renaming that pds in the TEST system, create same one and copy all members into it...
Thanks in advance,
Huseyin

* Sorry for resubmiting same question but did not get any response.

Can this problem occur for a non shared volume between the two systems? (Test-Prod)
Usually, in my experience, I found useful divide test volume from prod volume for different reason(the most comprensible is the privacy) so, I think that if you call your storage admin you will find all the anser you are looking for.

I hope in this suggest.

Hi MGIndaco
Thank you for your response.
The problem takes place for shared volume between Test & Prod systems. Prod system loses dir-info of test.batch.load...

hyuzen

Quote:
Prod system loses dir-info of test.batch.load

I've a doubt... cordially try to use other words...

Thanks in advance.

hi MGIndaco

test.batch.load is a pds located on the share volume. when I try to access test.batch.load from Prod system, I am not able to see even directory information of it. On the other hand, I can access same pds from Test system.

thanks in advance,
hyuzen

hyuzen,
I had this problem.I used to copy the member into a temorary file(which exists only for 7 days) and then transfer easily from test to prod region. Then in prod region,i copy this temp file to other neccessary datasets.
I can access the dastaset in test as well as prod but i couldnt trnasfer it.
Still, iam using such way to transfer.I thought that its access kind of problem whil transferring.
