Hi,
Apologize, if I have posted the topic in the wrong Index.
These questions are for better understanding.
1.Is that mandatory that I should give MQ commit in the ordinary cobol batch program with MQ.This particular scenario doesn't have either DB2 nor CICS.
2.If the commit statement is not mandatory and if in case my ordinary cobol program abends in the middle of the process what will happen to the data in the queue. |

1. What would DB2 or CICS have to do with issuing a commit.
In the case of DB2, you would have to use RRSAF for your commit.
Since you said batch, it could not be CICS. depending on circumstances
you do not have to issue a commit in your program.
2. what does the documentation say about abends and backing out uncommitted work?
