I am looking for some utility by which I can copy the message from my Mailbox to the dataset in Mainframe.
I know that we can send message from dataset in Mainframe system to the mailbox but I want the reverse of this process.
Please let me know if we can do this. |

Me too, although I have yet to come across anything workable, including the use of TCP/IP sockets to read the mail as if were on an SMTP server.
Two products I know of are Mail2Zos and a special feature for Connect:Direct from Sterling Commerce and, I think, a special feature for Gentran as well. |

Hi,
In my previous shop we had mainframe email application called "HOST" email. It is the same as Outlook email, except it does not support attachments & It can be accessed via batch.
So direct the outlook email to mainframe HOST account and then access it via batch.(I know Senthil has it at his mainframe , he "was" my colleague)
HOST offers very little email filtering options, so setting up a separate HOST account would reduce the pain in finding the required email from a common mailbox that has myriad of emails.
Hope this helps |
