I need to automate the process of importing file from IBM Mainframes to spreedsheet ?

This file is TAB Delimited and it contain 4 fields., and Presently this is downloading into testfile.txt importing into excel spreedsheet.
Now, I need to automate this process. by writing a program which sends this file to local desktop (Spreadsheet) .
Please adivse me |

A spreadsheet is not a mainframe entity, so can not be created on the mainframe.
There are various versions of this thread already on the forum so I can only suggest that you do a search. As far as I can remember, this could not be done by a mainframe process, and that the current way that this task is currently being performed is the only way. |

Hello,
Once the delimited file is created on the mainframe, you could automate the file transfer and opening the spreadsheet on the pc.
Suggest you speak with your desktop support people to learn which tools are available on the pc. |
