Hi All,

Is there any utility or JCL that can be used to recall the migrated datasets or recall all the versions of GDG by giving name of GDG base? I am trying to run job which first recalls the migrated GDG generation datasets and then sort on requirement.I feel that if I recall the datasets before running this job,it may save some time.Currently I am doing this with utility available to us(Writing HR in front of every dataset to be recalled). But for this I have to go through every dataset.

Please help me to this.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Avanti

TSO HRECALL  'data.set.base.name.*'

Dick,

You have hit the nail right on the head. Mondays are a badddddd day for me, up at 04:00 to travel to Brussels, a full day at the office. I sometimes fail to notice these little things. Maybe it's the matchsticks holding the eyelids open that spoil the view.

Thank you Dick. icon_lol.gif

When talking about GDS it is important to use the correct terminology, as both version and generation are both valid in terms of a GDS.

It is a well known fact that only one version of a GDS may exist at any one time, however, multiple generations may exist together.

Please learn and use the correct terminology when posting, as using the wrong term can cause confusion and possibly delay a resolution to your problem
