Hello,

Have you determined why this is already in use? What does the manual have to say?

We cannot tell you how to bypass the system. . .

Have you opened a support issue with CA?

The possibilities of getting this condidtion could be that the souce database might now have been into Offline mode or the backup being restored have been taken without bringing the areas in RET or OFFLINE mode.

U can resolve it by taking the database in RET and then OFFLINE.
Then REPRO the files of database with FILE BACKUP, this would not be a waise if the area has too many files or of big size.

Also u can get the area into offline mode, unlock it and then try to bring the area online.

may be this would help
