Hi!
Is there a way to access RMDS (REPORT MANAGEMENT DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM) using REXX to pull a particular report?

Is there a way to access RMDS (REPORT MANAGEMENT DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM) using REXX to pull a particular report?
I have gone through the RMDS manual link but there i could not find the way of accessing RMDS reports through REXX.
Can anyone help me in this?

why do You think that asking again should get You an answer different from the one You already got from the manual ?

isn' t RMDS automatic report distribution enough?

I just want to ask that suppose we want to get Start & end time of various reports in the RMDS we will have to again & again go into those particular reports & find....
I am asking is there any way so that we can get all the info. in 1 dataset??

i assume you are a user and not an administrator.
the Admin Guide suggests that reports can be bundled, offloaded, downloaded....

the User Guide indicates that a user can set-up his own reports.

Accessing the information via REXX
(is this another example of a TOOL looking for a use?)
would be a waste of time.
By the time you understood the file/records structures,
found/wrote all the necessary extras to access the different file structures used by RMDS,
you could have digested enough information to provide yourself an RMDS built-in facility.

Suggest you spend time learning how to use what RMDS has,
instead of providing your own preconceived necessary add-ons.
The activity you describe is not unique, and I am sure RMDS has a built-in solution,
for those who have to repeatedly perform the same task because they did not bother to do it correctly the first time.
