Hi
Could any one tell me...while demoting or promoting a module in Changeman..
why we promote or demote only files which have Type Status like "BUO" and "LOO".. |

Well, that's a site specific question. I've used ChangeMan on all the shops I've been to and none of them used those "library types" - so better bet is, you get in touh with your ChangeMan admin or some senior at your shop. |

I found one is..
BUO it is a batch file created while stagging a module in Changeman.
LOO it is a load module file created while stagging a module in changeman.
they are like machine like language. |

As I said earlier, your questionis site specific. They are meaningful for your current shop - and by this

You most probably mean, BUO is load-module for a COBOL-batch program...there is no "batch file created" when you compile program through ChangeMan, you just get a executable code. And probably, the LPAR you promote to, needs only load-modules and not the corresponding source-code for programs, that's why you promote only those components. |
