hercules setup

i have installed hercules in my system. can anyone help me out in suggesting me as to how to proceed for the further set up.

anuj,

I installed hercules(setup file) and i see only a command prompt popping up. I am not aware as to how to proceed further.
My doubts are:
should i install an emulator(3270)
should i set up DASD volumes?
i tried following the steps in "http://www.jaymoseley.com/hercules/" but couldnt follow them as there were lot of steps.
Could you please let me know whether there is any simple way of installing it and simulating mainframe environment

hercules is just the bare iron emulator,
You will need an operating system along with it

so you suggest to install hercules first followed by MVS 3.8. this will suffice right?
