Hi,

I need to take Tablespace backups.

I found that all the examples of tablespace backups are doing a New,Catlg,CAtlg.

Is there any specific reason why they are not New,Catlg,Delete.

Thanks,
Raghav

Hello,

In many publications examples are provided to demonstrate the specifics of some feature mor control statement(s).

Often the remainder of the example is not going to be what many users would want to use.

Keep in mind that when many utilities fail, only a return code is set - no abend is generated. So, the 3rd disp parameter doesn't come into play. . .

Any time an example is to be used to create something "real", every parameter of every statement must be understood - not just implemented because it is in the example.
