Default expiry date for a TAPE dataset

What is the default expiry data for a TAPE dataset if we dont mention 'LABEL=EXPDT=' in the JCL

Wholly site-specific; in many shops, it will never expire, but in mine it will expire at midnight. Your shop may implement either or neither policy.

Depends on the Tape Management System you're running. CA1 for example allows a default to be set in it's parmlib. Talk to your Storage mob.

yes,for DFSMSrmm, the default date set in EDGRMMxx in parmlib.
