Hi
I am using syncsort to reformat fields in my input and write on the output file using inrec
i need to reformat the date field as mentioned below
Output field
47:8
MMDDCCYY
Input field
33:8
CCYYMMDD
This has to be done for every input record. (is there any other way apart from the one i am thinking of 47:37,2,49:39,2,51:33,4)
Please help |

What problem do you have with a simple reformat?
If the source is going through a sort utility anyway, a little moving of fields is pretty much free, isn't it? |
