As TSO is a mainframe component, how do you expect it to do some process on the mainframe and then continue that process on a PC document ?

Are you running Microsoft Office for z/OS? icon_rolleyes.gif

No, you can't use TSO commands for copy/paste, but if you are running a decent 327x terminal emulation program, you can mark the block of characters to copy from the screen, press Ctrl+C and then at the desired insertion point in your Word document, press Ctrl+V. Just as you would do with any other Windows program.

You said "only from mainframes" - does that mean, you have used "ctrl+c" multiple times and now there should be some mechanism to make the "system" understand, what on "clip-board" in the process of multiple "ctrl+c", comes from Mainframes screens?

You're over-expecting or, probably, things are not getting communicated well icon_neutral.gif

You can not do that with TSO, but you can in ISPF if you also use ISPF-CS - look here: gsf-soft.com/Documents/ISPF-CS.shtml#freeware

When you EDIT or VIEW a file (or PDS member) you can use the ROUTE command to send the "required lines" to a file on your PC which you can then EDIT with any word processor. Again, for this to work, your ISPF environment must be connected to your PC using ISPF-CS which is described here: gsf-soft.com/Documents/ISPF-CS.shtml

Hi Anuj,

I think he meant "required lines only".

No he called MS support and they put him hold while they are trying to figure out his question. If he was on vacation we might hear from him again, on MS hold he is gone for ever.
