Hi All,

I would like to know about the possibilities for a single COBOL-DB2 program to interact with two different DB2 databases.

Two different databases in the sense - Different Database Groups

Thanks in advance

Hello,

What is a "Different Database Groups "?

We can better help if you use standard terminology (unless this is a newer term and i missed the memo icon_smile.gif ).

Hi,

Let's say DBD1 and DBD2 are different database groups and they reside in different database space.

All the schemas and tables inside DBD1 and DBD2 are entirely different.

Hello,

One more time - what is your definition of a database group?

What is your definition of a "database space"?

Until you use terminology that everyone understands the meaning of, it is most difficult to provide any help.

Someone may make a correct wild guess, but that is not the way the forum should work. . .

ISTR that "data base group" is a Unix term not applicable to MVS.

Hi Raghu,

What I meant was two different DB2 Subsystems.... For e.g. DBD1 and DBD2... I would like to know whether it is possible to communicate to two different subsystems from a COBOL program?
