Hi,
In a JCL suppose there are DSNs and out of those DSN we don't want the team members to touch all the DSNs rather we want them to use only the
DSN which is required for the current task and leave the other DSN(now leaving here doesn't mean omitting)we just don't want them to touch all other DSNs because may be now they are in production and may be required for some other task. Then in such case how will the team members execute that JCL.
Thanks. |

For a developer, this should be of no concern. This type of activity is the task of the adminstrators of the security folks. RACF, ACF2, Top Secret, or whatever security package your shop uses. |

Hello,

If any of the datasets mentoned in the JCL are restricted and the person running the job does not permission to a named (in the jcl) restricted (by security) dataset, the job will abend. . .
This does not sound like what you want.
Due to the lack of detail posted, i suspect multiple sets of jcl will be needed. |

Thanks Dick.
I too feel so, may be we will receive 913 error for insufficient authority.
But i had come across this question from a person and that moment i couldn't put my view before him.
Thanks. |
