Did you see the 'Specify additional search strings' in the bottom of the panel? |

You're wrong -- you can specify many search strings in option 3.14. |

not really sure that your comment is accurate.
I have invoked Batch search with more that 11 search arguments. |

quite often the limits are not in the utility itself, but rather in the interface used to build the jcl..
it is impractical for the interactive preparation dialog to make provision for the maximum number of search statements
just save a copy of the jcl and hand edit it adding as many searches as You need |

you are probably looking at the panel entry.
after you have entered your parms, you are given an option of EDITing the JCL before submission.
DO THAT - use the option to EDIT the JCL.
add additional search strings.
then submit the JOB.
you can also save this in your personal PDS containing JCL,
then in the future, use this saved member in your personal JCL PDS,
modify the the appropriate parms/statements -
pds/files to be searched
search strings
output dd - I always change this to a dasd file instead of using sysout. |

Thanks... DIck and Enricho
I have edited the JCL and kept all search arguments in that, also gave a DASD file instead of sysout option. It worked successfully and saved a lot of time. |
