Hi
I had to move an X(10) variable to S9(8)V9(2)
Is there a possibility, whether this MOVE will abend in case of any data in the character field. I am expecting alphanumeric values in the input ( including space and '.' ) |

Hello,
If you are expecting alphanumeric values in the field, why would there even be consideration of moving it to some numeric field. . .
If you explain more of the requirement, someone may have a more useful reply. |

Is this another way of stating your question in your other thread in Mainframe COBOL? If so, please ask the question only once. |
