Halo Vicky,
System Archival Repository (SAR) is where the system automatically archives the job logs of the Production as well as other region specific jobs (SIT,UAT, XAT). The run can be successful or not, the system handles the archival process to SAR.
Can you please be more clear about ur Q, if this answer is not sufficient. |

You will need to discuss this with your site support people. It is them that will specify what happens and when on their system.
The setup is purely site specific. |

Hi mftrigger,
Yeah i understand that SAR will contain all the jobs irrespective of completion codes. But my Job is not in production region, I have to run a Job on a daily basis and if that job ends abnormally i want it to move to SAR(Only when it ends abnormally NOT when it has ran fine).
Hope i'm clear. |

usually the sysout management is done by sysout class
some sysout classes are routed to the external sysout archive manager ( SAR is one of them) others are not
if Your sysout is not in a class managed by SAR little You can do
speak to Your SAR support anyway |

As said by enrico and expat, do contact SAR support people.
FYI., The procedure we follow for your case is, to raise a request to submit a "Request job" in Production or any other region, daily. By this way I can get my job listed in SAR.
Hope this helps! |

But my Job is not in production region |
as usual the terminology is unclear...
production is a <processing category> and is irrelevant where the related processes are run
( even clerical visual checking of a total in some report is a ... <production> job/process )
somebody in Your organization must decide if Your job is <production process> or not
after a decision has been taken things will be much easier |
