I am new youngster cics developer. Currently Our CICS is getting hanged out and not responding to any other transactions. After kill some transaction (on guess), cics start response. We are not able to replicate the same issue and it is working fine after that for longer days. So we are not able to find the root casue of the above issue.
Now what I think to came out from the above issue, CICS will automatically kill/ purged those transactions that was running from longer time say 10 min and also based on priority.
So my query
is it possible for CICS to kill particular transaction that is executing into loop or that is alive from long time and highly utilized cics ? |

Hello,
Suggest you work with your CICS support people. . .
Most likely, some problem transaction(s) eventually "timed-out" due to being in a loop or due to problem code design that appeared to be a loop. |

Thanks for your suggestion.
Yes I also think the same but in current project there is no separate CICS support team. We are taking care the client CICS. The installation of CICS had done by third party. So we are only to find the issue and resolutions.
Please help me out and give me some more details. |

Suggest your organization hire (full-time) or rent (contractor - possibly the 3rd party that did the install?) someone qualified to assist.

With the current level of understanding on your system, i do not believe much in the way of details will help. For someone to offer usable details, a better problem description is needed. And it does not sound like there is anyone compitent to present this. |
