I got a return code of 255 in a fileaid step of jcl. What does it mean? |

It's resolved. Had to change the version number of file-aid in the load library dataset name. The jcl had old version and the file-aid had updated since.
//STEPLIB DD DISP=SHR,DSN=SYS6.FILEAID.V8R9M5.LOAD
changed to
//STEPLIB DD DISP=SHR,DSN=SYS6.FILEAID.V9R1M0.LOAD |

Nice to see you get it working.
Just a suggestion, when you stuck into such problems, post rather complete info, RC 255 in file-aid can occur due to many reasons and what you've faced is just one of them. Unless we've enough info to work upon no one can suggest something fruitful... |
