Hi all,
I am working in an IMS evaluation project and I need some help.

I would like to define a new IMS transaction, I already have all the sources (programs, PSB's, TRANSACT and APPLCTN macros for the new transaction) but I don't know:

1) How to obtain the "compile" the macors APPLCTN and TRANSACT for the new transaction.

2) How to inform the IMS about the new "compiled" macros.

Please can any of you give me some fast instructions?

Thanks.
Casmir.

IIRC You will have a stag1/stage2 Control block generation,
ask Your support
oddly enough a silly google search with "ims transact adding" gave as the first hit the manual were all the process is well described

also a more covoluted search with...
ims transaction definition cutomization transact applcnt wopuld have given You lots of material to meditate on

and if You had done the search Yourself You would have gotten the info in a couple of minutes

remember also that asking for fast things is considered bad manners,
forum help is at no charge and on the responder's time

HI,
Sorry about the missunderstanding, when I said "fast instructions" I don't expect missused other people time. I was thinking in some reference to direct documentation instead of regular books, like may be some red book dedicated to this issue.
I think ask for this kind of documentation is reasonable.

Next time I will take more care with expressing my doubts.

Regards.
Casgarci.

Care is good but - Not to worry. icon_smile.gif

One of our biggest challenges is communication. . . icon_confused.gif

Very often this happens (unfortunately).

Usually, we can get things straightened out with no harm icon_smile.gif
