Hi there.
Does anybody know if I can browse PDS file starting from last record?
Or just select last record from file.

Thanks.

P.S. I'm using CA File Master Plus v4.1

Also if you know the number of records in the member then you can use
below in the selection criteria
Code:

RID=(rec_cnt)

Hello,

A multi-million record file is not a good candidate for online use. . .

Suggest you run a batch job (using your sort product) to copy what you want into a separate file. Or possibly change the process that creates the multi-million entries to create a separate output with only the last record(s).

What is PDS file? If it's just PDS, what is last records in that, did you mean last member?

Yeah.. actually this was first question I also wanted to ask.. But then I assumed that he meant member in a PDS.
