can anyone tell me if CTG reside on the ZOS system or on the other side of the ZOS system, i.e., on distributed platform ? If it resides on ZOS system then does it run in the form of a started task/process ? and if it does then are each of teh component running as started tasks/processes ?

APD1: if you click on the link Peter provided, click on the Product Documentation link on that web page, you are provided a list of 106 items referencing the product. The tenth one (in my list) is
CICS Transaction Gateway V7.2 Windows Administration (SC34-6960-00) and contains an overview of CICS Transaction Gateway.

Presumably -- and, admittedly, unlikely -- you can proceed to actually do the reading and determine whatever it is you're attempting to find out. The people who respond on this forum tend to assume that you are capable of reading manuals yourself.

My wife doesn't have it with me, either -- it must be a wife thing? icon_biggrin.gif

Dick,

FYI :

proximity infatuation

When one has the desire to be intimately close to someone in a physical manner. Also when one thinks about another as a potential significant other (lover), often of the opposite sex.

Ahh. . .

proximity infatuation
Quite different than proximity (only) . . .

Some things that seem to be quite charming during initial infatuation may become less charming over multiple decades - and i would have to agree that wives seem to develop this "realization of less charming" more quickly than the men icon_cool.gif

Of course not, its totally off topic. So are your questions after being
pointed to all the information you can get on CTG and dont bother
to consult.

Hello,

When the topic appears to have "left the tracks", we often spread a bit of "off topic".

Have you followed Robert's suggestion and read the overview? Do you believe there is some reason someone here should read this for you and present some kind of condensed version that will happen to be exactly to what you want to know?

If you read the overview and find something that is not clear, post what you found and your doubt. Someone will be able to clarify.

Hi Terry,

My condensation usually results in only a fraction of what would be in the Cliff Notes icon_cool.gif

Short 'n sweet (ok, sometimes too short and often not so sweet) icon_smile.gif
