I have an input file like:
| Code: |
001122 PIGGOTT HOSPITAL 2009-10-012009-10-01
004017 FT. SMITH RIM & BOW CO.
004951 BANK OF LAKE VILLAGE 2009-10-012009-10-01 |
for the second record at position 42 position there is no data
in my outfile I want only those records which have data at 42 onwards... |

| Can't you just OMIT any records where column 42 is a space? |

Hello,
Does your solution handle the situation where 42 is blank but 43 has data? Is this even a possibility?
When you post jcl, code, data, screen info, etc it is best to use the "Code" tag. This will preserve alignment and improve readability. The original data has been "Code"d. |
