Hi,
I am building a design where i need to deploy inbound function shipping. I am planning to use internal CICS mirror program DFHMIRS. I will be defining a new transaction ABCD to associate mirror program DFHMIRS.

When i searched my existing production lib i saw one more transaction say "1234" (for some specific functionality) is associated with Mirror Program DFHMIRS.

I do not have the option to use current defined transaction "1234" as it is for some specific functionality , i that case i am only left with assigning my new transaction "ABCD" to DFHMIRS.

Had it be COBOL-CICS program it was not possible for me as 2 transaction could not have same program in PPT Listing.

But I am unclear about DFHMIRS, I guess since it is mirror program which actually trigger real transaction i may map 2 transaction to same program
DFHMIRS.

In Simple words can Tran "ABCD" and "1234" be mapped to program DFHMIRS.

Please let us know if my understanding is correct.

Where did you hear this? Every program has to be unique, every transaction has to be unique, but you can have 17 transactions referencing the same program. If you do a CEMT I TRANS(*) on any CICS region, you will see multiple occurrences of CICS system programs assigned to different transactions.

Your understanding of CICS is incorrect, hence the confusion.
