Hi Vijay,

Why I asked you specifically is because if you got this JCL from your shop itself then most probably it should be still available there. Hope you have consulted with the senior memebers on where the FDREPORT module might be present

I have no idea what this means, and it certainly is not related in any way, shape, style, or form to an S806 ABEND. Do you mean what is active in the address space -- since "region space" is not a term used with batch jobs, it has no meaning in the context you've provided? The S806 means that the program you are executing in your job, FDREPORT, was not found. Since you do not have a JOBLIB or STEPLIB in your JCL, that in turn means that this program was not located in the linklist.

You must contact your site support group and find out whether or not FDREPORT is installed at your site, and if so what JOBLIB or STEPLIB you must include in your JCL to access the program.

I'm assuming that you want to know total allocated space for a list of datasets. REGION usually refers to the memory storage used by executing programs.

The IBM tool DCOLLECT can gather statistics on disk-resident files. Read about it in the DFSMS Access Method Services for Catalogs manual.

If you do some searching you may find some examples.

S806 is basically for not finding the LOADLIB of FDREPORT pgm. Either you should add the STEPLIB/JOBLIB or you should ask to your system guys if it was a verndor provided utility.

I see no reason for looking our for "total usage of region space".
