Access Oracle database - CA ideal

Is it possible to access Oracle database from CA ideal program?

Hello and welcome to the forum,

Not directly that i'm aware of. . . In addition to Datacom, there are IDEAL options for DB2 and VSAM

The IDEAL program might call a service module that then accessed Oracle, but doing this would lose the FOR construct. Is the Oracle database on the mainframe or would this be cross-platform?

For the best info on alternatices, i'd suggest you speak with CA.
