Difference between Endevor and Changeman

Please tell me the difference between Endevor & Changeman & which is better in your opinion

Hello,

Suggest you talk with both vendors for their lists of "differences".

What would you like to use to measure "better"? If neither is currently in use, decision criteria must be gathered and each product weighed by the importance of each of the decision criteria.

As i don't have "my own" environment (ah, the life of a "road warrior") i've seen both used quite successfully and i've seen places make a mess of both.

Did you google before posting? And better in what sense?
And I doubt if you have a choice here. You work on what is there in your organization.

This is an interview question asked to me in an interview.
I have worked only on Endevor and I like it. I dont know the functionality of changeman.

I was asking some common differences.

Hi Mastrahoyar

Both are Version Control Tools and share their legacy of differences as both are developed and marketed by different companies. Changeman by Serena software and Endevor by Computer Associate .

I have worked on both and the most striking practical difference that i felt was :

1. In Endevor you can do multiple staging simultaneously through BATCH mode , in Changeman you cannot .

2. When you stage a component in Endevor , it automatically promotes the component load module to the region . In Changeman you have to stage and promote separately .

There are other technical differences , you can google it out .
