How can be rename a GDG ensuring all versions will be created automatically.
Example.
if EP0FT.APCS.MEMBER.NONMEDD.NDM has 4 versions as
EP0FT.APCS.MEMBER.NONMEDD.NDM.G0001V00
EP0FT.APCS.MEMBER.NONMEDD.NDM.G0002V00
EP0FT.APCS.MEMBER.NONMEDD.NDM.G0003V00
EP0FT.APCS.MEMBER.NONMEDD.NDM.G0004V00
and if we RENAME OR DO something with another GDG EP0FT.APCS.MEMBER.NONMEDD.NDM.T1
if should create ALL 4 VERSIONS as
EP0FT.APCS.MEMBER.NONMEDD.NDM.T1.G0001V00
EP0FT.APCS.MEMBER.NONMEDD.NDM.T2.G0002V00
EP0FT.APCS.MEMBER.NONMEDD.NDM.T3.G0003V00
EP0FT.APCS.MEMBER.NONMEDD.NDM.T4.G0004V00
Thanks |

It does not.

You cannot -- versions must be manually created. Read the manuals for details.
Terminology note: version and generation are both valid for a GDG and mean extremely different things. Next time you post, know the difference. |

Build the new GDG base and then use DFdss (PGM=ADRDSSU) to MOVE the GENERATIONS to the new GDG base.
By the way, what has this topic got to do with DFSORT |

I echo Robert for his terminology note.
And the way you posed your question, it seems you need to rename all four generatiosn individually 'one by one". |
