Hello. Maybe this is a dumb question, but i Can't seem to find the exact documentation about how to use the SMTPPROC procedure to send email from batch programs in IBM. Any help would be appreciated in order to find a programmer or user guide related with this topic
Thanks in advance
Best regards

Hello Anuj. Thanks for your reply. I bumped into that document and i readed it, but it won'd do any good to me. I kept on reading though, and I realized that what i needed to lear was the SMTP standard for send emails rather than this proc documentation. I mean, i need docs using SMTP instead this procedure, which is working just fine so far.
Thanks again
Best regards

Google is your friend. Look for RFC 2821 and then look for RFC 2822. You need to read both of them to understand the details of SMTP messages. |

Indeed... However, at first, I didn't really knew what I needed
Afaterwar I realized that sending emails in Z/OS still used the STMP standard, so we are documenting ourselves right now. I'm sorry for my early vague question.
Anyway, I'll keep on working on it in order to make this job work just fine
Thanks again
Oliver
PD - Thanks for the tips Robert. I found a link to the 2821 paper in other post in this forum related with sending emails in jcls |
